Selichot services will be held at the PHC at midnight on Saturday, 4 September, preceded by a shiur by Rabbi Fox beginning 11:30 pm. On all other days Selichot services will commence at 6:30 am, followed by the Shacharit service. Selichot on Wednesday 8 September will commence at 6:00, due to a longer Selichot service.
PLEASE NOTE: The PHC has hired a new security company to work at the shul complex. In the past we provided a facility where members walking to and from shul could get a guard to escort them. This arrangment will end until furthur notice, however we will endevour to assist with the use of PHC staff members, notification must be given to the office 2-3 days before the required date.
Those people who have ordered Hot Smoked Salmons and Smoked Salmons can start collecting them from tomorrow, Friday 3 September. Please note: Hot smoked salmon orders for Yom Tov have now closed.
The next Rosh Chodesh Women’s Forum will be on Sunday 5 September at 7.30 p.m. in the Wapnick Centre. The topic for this month is the art of Table Decorating. Cost: R30.00. Please book at Shul office.
Please join Rabbi and Aviva Fox and family in the celebration of their son and brother, Avrohom Dovid's Upsherenish (haircutting on his third birthday). The celebration will take place on Sunday the 10th of October, the 2nd of Mar Cheshvan, at 10:00 am at the Fox's home, 43 Bronkhorst street. Emailed invitations to follow. At the same time the Foxes will also be making a chanukas habayis, a dedication, of their new home and the entire community is invited.
Please diarize Sunday night 26 September, as the date for Zevi Fox’s Bar Mitzva Celebration. There will be a lechayim in the Shul Sukka. He will be leining on Shabbos Bereishis, followed by a Kiddush. Invitations have been emailed to the community. Please advise the office if you have not received yours.
